The Wonderful World of American Literature

Synopses of class: A of the American literature canon progressing from Native American Literature and Puritan writings through the writings of the Modern Era. Key stepping stones along the way consist of Gothic literature of Poe, Romanticism, American master poets, and Realism. Major works studies include but are not limited to : The Crucible, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Macbeth, and The Great Gatsby. This class also reinforces the five paragraph essay writing form with the introduction of the Literary Criticism.
